Bouncing Back

You know that some species that are endangered, but not all, become extinct. But with the help of scientists and wildlife protecters, we can bring back species, and it also happens naturally. A species that can have as many as 100 individuals can grow to 2,000, and even 100,000! Humans can breed animals in safe environments, and let their population grow. Some species will still go extinct, but we can save some! I have an old story to share with you.

One day, a man was walking on a beach, and he saw a girl who was throwing starfish back into the water after a tidal wave or something. He said, "you can't possibly throw all of those starfish into the water! There are way too many!" She threw another starfish into the water and said, "I made a difference to that one."
